Role Purpose:

The primary goal of the Private Client Business Development Specialist is to drive the expansion of our Private Client business by actively recruiting new clients and fostering strong, lasting relationships. This role involves direct interaction with potential clients both over the phone and in-person, as well as collaboration with various teams within the division, the wider company, and external partners, especially those dealing with the Brazilian Real.

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

  • Account Opening:  
    • Initiate and nurture prospective client portfolios until account establishment.
    • Clearly communicate Moneycorp’s services, customizing solutions to meet client needs where possible.
    • Engage in proactive selling to enhance the conversion rate of the Private Client business.
    • Strengthen and maintain client relationships through effective rapport building.
    • Educate clients on our Brazilian Real solutions, ensuring they understand the process for booking deals.
  • Achievement of Targets and KPIs:  
    • Meet specified targets and KPIs related to call volume, sales activities, sales outcomes, quality standards, and revenue.
  • Liaising with Internal and External Departments:  
    • Collaborate with business units such as Moneycorp Banco de Cambio to open accounts, improve conversion ratios, provide lead feedback, foster team relationships, and support tasks related to our Brazilian operations.
  • Liaising with Payments/CS Team:  
    • Ensure timely processing of client payments, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Compliance:  
    • Keep detailed records of all client interactions.
    • Maintain all documentation to the required standards.
    • Uphold company procedures, especially KYC processes and CRM record maintenance.

Person Specification:

  • Knowledge and Experience:  
    • Prior experience in customer service environments.
    • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory obligations in Brazil (desirable).
    • Understanding of financial services markets, products, and services specific to Brazil (desirable).
  • Skills and Competencies:  
    • Fluent in English and Portuguese, with excellent communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiating skills.
    • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Technical Skills:  
    • Familiarity with work processes and CRM systems (desirable).
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
    • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Education:  
    • Degree in a related field or experience within a financial institution (desirable).
  • Personal Attributes:  
    • Proactive, confident, tenacious, and approachable.
    • Driven by personal initiative, flexible, adaptable, with a positive attitude.
