Who You Are / Your Next Challenge
We are currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Tech team on a full-time and permanent basis. This exciting opportunity is based in our London office, and the role directly reports to the Head of Digital.
This is a fantastic opportunity within the QA function at Moneycorp that involves undertaking functional and nonfunctional testing activities with a focus on automation. The role will encompass Quality Assurance and Testing on a range of software delivery streams, including web, desktop, and mobile applications over cross-browser/devices, Azure cloud platforms, and back-end functionality, including API, which entails technical problem-solving. The QA Analyst will play a vital role in the analysis, planning, execution, and reporting of progress of their activities to their workstream Leads, including QA peers.
What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent certifications as a minimum
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, manual and automated test techniques, tools, processes and best practice
- Team leading and stakeholder management skills.
- Possess a strong background in writing automated functional and integration tests in the Playwright/NUnit or similar test framework (Javascript/Typescript/C#)
- Understand where & when automation testing fits into the SDLC, specifically Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Strong experience in UIs and APIs automated test creation. (minimum three years)
- Familiar with good development practices to create and maintain clean, readable code to industry standards.
- System, integration, exploratory and regression, cross-browser, API and mobile device testing
- Eager to learn and become a sole ‘expert’ in their field
- Technically capable in problem-solving, ability to prioritise, and handle a mix of tasks and activities
- A business-like manner and able to exercise tact and diplomacy where required
- Demonstrable accuracy, thoroughness and diligence in the execution of daily tasks
- Self-starting and ability to work on own initiative without need for constant supervision
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and cutting edge software development environment
- Adaptable and able to work in an environment where process and methodology is still evolving
- Experience defining and executing non-functional tests cases using standard testing techniques. – Desirable
- Previous testing experience as a QA Engineer/Analyst (minimum five years)
- Exposure to business requirements gathering and interpreting to test cases from acceptance criteria
- Practical experience in test planning, test case design and test progress reporting
- Proven experience of end-2-end manual/automation testing for functional and (non-functional – desirable)
